Book Abstract

The role of the nurse educator cannot be overlooked, as they play a significant role in supporting and controlling the ability to produce the quality education that meets the demands and needs of future nursing education. This book is prepared in such a way that it meets the requirements of the Nursing Council, that inculcates students? minds with principles, concepts of education, curriculum development, methods, and media of teaching. Therefore, the students are able to understand and describe the philosophy of nursing, principles of nursing education, explain about the teaching-learning process and methods, learn administrative aspects of nursing schools, participate in planning and organizing an in-service program, develop basic skills of counseling and guidance, and ultimately become good future nursing educators. Nursing is a profession within the healthcare sector focused on the care of individuals, families, and communities so they may attain, maintain, or recover optimal health and quality of life. Nurses may be differentiated from other healthcare providers by their approach to patient care, training, and scope of practice. Nurses practice in many specialties with differing levels of prescription authority. Nurses comprise the largest component of most healthcare environments, but there is evidence of international shortages of qualified nurses.
